Think it can be done via tech2, luckily MarksDTM an Admin who lives in Nottingham has one  :y

It can not be disabled, unless yours has the CSD setup (airbag light near courtesy light), and your child seat is compatible with that.

I worry about this baby-in-front-seat modern 'dangle berries'. The number of mongs I see driving into work who are too busy playing with Little Johnny, rather than concentrate on driving.

Ah mine has that, been wondering what its purpose is. Assume it would constantly be lit if passenger air bag was disabled?

It will light up when/if a Vx baby seat is fitted in the car. The transpoder in the seat talks to the car & tells it to turn off the passenger airbag(s).

I agree with Jamie though, put the rear facing seat in the back seat of the car.  ;) ;)

Cheers, I agree as well, but if you have 3 baby seats? Not sure how well one would work with centre belt on Omega, even though it is 3 point

Don't see why you can't fit a child seat in the middle, I think it should be illegal to put sprogs in the front personally.
