Title: Vibration felt threw the gearstick
Post by: tigers_gonads on 11 June 2012, 08:21:37
As above.

Depending on the road surface, i'm getting a hell of alot more vibration threw the gear stick then normal.
The vibration is consistant regardless of whether the car is in gear or just coasting along with the gearbox in neutral so I don't think it is the gearbox / clutch  :-\

Anybody come across this before ?

Oh yeh, a little update on this that might help  :-[ :-[ :-[

Had a whine from my transmition a few months back.
Turned out that the gearbox had very little oil in it.  ::) :-[
It has been topped up and some wyns gearbox additive added.
No problems with the gearchange of anything.
Tbh, its one of the best changes on a mig i've ever felt  :)

What's the status of your LPG probs Steve?

Haven't seen anything - but may have missed it of course.

Which one  ;D ;D ;D

Poped to see daz a couple of weeks back.

Still got Ht problems (burnt a couple of leads out while hammering it back from stoke  ;D)

Daz changed my block thermostat and radiator so at least it runs cool now  ::)

That Icv you sent me seems to have sorted out the idle, thanks  :y

I've just recieved some new 10mm twin core Ht leads of ebay this morning so i'll fit them and clean the plugs up and see how it goes.
If they are decient, i'll stick a recomendation on here because I can't fault the service upto now  :)

They're normally flat plates 1/2"-ish wide x 1 1/2" long spot welded to the shaft.
