Heated seats will work, as will the Elite seats, but not the memory function.

I use my experience with V6 Specials, which are essentially 3.2 GLS' for the police.

If you fit STD leather seats, the heated seats will work, you only need to fit the heated seat switches and the new seats. This is for front seats only.

Elite seats can work, although I must say TheBoy did the soldering for me, but it is possible.

Memory function easily sorted. For rear heaters to work you`ll need the mounting plate at rear of centre console housing the switches plus the loom and relays under rear seat from donor car

Sounds like a lot of work and probably wont be worth it for the price 2.2 Petrol GLS Omega's go for unfortunately  :(  Be cheaper and easier to try and get an Elite or a CDX with more toys and leather in...

Probably, but then you will want to put MV6 seats in it!!

IF you do leather seat converstion the Elites did have longer bolts - maybe coz the memoy electric leathers are SO heavy??

Elite front seats are completely electric - forward/backward, up/down/pitch, recline/incline.  I'm no expert on other models so I couldn't say for sure but I do know that MV6 leather seats only have electric height control, everything else is manual.

I've just fitted Elite seats to my MV6 - in the last 2 days to be exact - and the wiring mods were easy when you follow TB's guide by clicking here (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90680.0)

On the 2 thick cables you have to get power and earth from, you can expose the inner core without cutting the wire by using a pair of "automatic" wire strippers, like these...

You can then solder the other wires onto the exposed copper.  Personally, I used an in-line fuse holder on the +ve side because you are connecting into Fuse 5 which is 30Amps.

Here's what I mean...

And when all tidied up...

Easy to do while the seat is out, but you will need a reasonably powerful soldering iron!!!

Oh, and I didn't notice the Elite seats being that much heavier than the MV6 seats that came out, but then there was a day between the old coming out and the new going in.

Hope that helps in some small way!
