Title: Point me in right direction please
Post by: danzigfan on 14 June 2012, 10:28:17
Hi guys, my omega is suffering some major coolant leak but I can't find the cause of it. It's not the HBV, it's wet under the front part of the engine as seen on picture bellow

I've also found this, looks like a piece of radiator

If anyone knows four pot lump well please help me to find this leakage. Thanks, Stan

Thats part of the air-con rad, common for it to fall apart, but that holds gas, not water.

Are you actually loosing any coolant? Often gets grimey down by the heat shield, has it been as wet in Slovenia as it has been in UK?

Don't ask  ;D today is first sunny day  after two weeks... Car is loosing ap.0.5l of coolant per 200 miles, with or without aircon on.

2.2 has a heat exchanger on top of the oil filter housing sandwiched between the filter housing and the oil pump, if the 2.0 has the same it could be that or waterpump :-\

Water pump has 14.000 miles covered now, but seems to leak right there. I'll take aux belt down and remove the main belt shield to find that heat excanger, thanks
