sold a gearbox to bustedomega, had the joys of getting it off with no wheels on the car and hard to jack up...

so the solution we came up with...drag the car up and onto its side, ahhh the luxury of working on scrap cars...

if only stripping a gearbox off was as easy with it jacked up as it was with full access clear view of where everything was and all at normal height, no looking up...oh the luxury...and a lot of fun too :) Bet my neighbours hate me though lol Its at the scrappy now :)

I was watching the scrap yard worker & Joe Customer removing an exhaust from an Astra the other day. The car was about 5' up in the air, still hanging off the chains of the Hiab/crane. Rather them than me!

Whenever I read stuff like that I remember watching those 'hammy' old ROSPA safety videos back in the early-80`s:
"Ok, let`s pause the action there; `what happens next?"
A? - B? - C? (etc.)
