Title: Found A Budgie
Post by: waspy on 16 June 2012, 12:58:39
Coming back with Muttley this morn & came across a Budgie sitting on a post in the fileds, it was getting mobbed by the other wild birds.
On the third attempt I caught the little bugger (purely by trickery).
Popped it in my coat pocket & brought it home. I've just won a new bird cage on ebay for £5.50. Maria's been & bought some food etc for it.
At the moment (until we go & collect the cage) it's in with the Guinea Pigs. Make no mistake, the birds in charge & chases the pigs off when they too inquisitive  ;D ;D

Please explain how you tricked it in case we too see a budgie  ;D I can imagine the guinea pigs squealing a bit while the budgie rounds them up  :o

Show it one hand, wiggle your fingers on it to get its attention & with the other hand slowly close in on it from behind.

guinea pigs and budgies should live together....budgies will always be attacked and killed by native birds due to their colour... :y

Turns out it's a female & so I'm totally surrounded by females ;D
She has her own cage now, fed, warm & watered :y
Very quiet at the moment, but I expect when it finds its feet that'll change ::) ;D

Are you sure it's female? I wasn't aware they were capable of being quiet.
