Title: Anyone experience of CD player cleaners...
Post by: Webby the Bear on 20 June 2012, 01:16:43
... got a load of crap on a CD and stupidly forgot and put it in the car's CD player (CDR 2005 I think it's called)

Ever since CDs don't want to play properly; some will play and jump and skip, some just won't register at all and it ejects the CD and says ''CD ERROR'' on the trip comp.

Was looking at this...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ross-CKDVD-RS-Laser-Lens-Cleaner/dp/B003SYK6OA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Any good?

Pretty sure DaveDND recommends you do NOT use a cotton bud & cleaner on the lens  :-\

If you must do this, use a lint free bud and NO chemicals -

But in reality, if you have got this far, your laser is probably stuffed anyway   ::) :-X

I was about to say "don't but one, I've got one kicking about you can have for cost of postage" but you'd only be saving about 40p. And I'd have to deal with the post office staff... ;) :y
