Title: Aerial lead
Post by: Eighth_dwarf on 20 June 2012, 15:35:56
I have managed to break a the wire somewhere in my aerial lead! Is there a short extension from the passenger footwell in a 1997 CD saloon or is it the full 7 & 1/2m straight through lead?

FM lead connection is normally behind driver`s kickpanel. In answer to your question, the lead runs in one piece from aerial amp under rear parcel shelf to a connector behind kickpanel, be it passenger side or driver`s

I've had 2 cables that have broke over the years  :(
Both have been down to heat soak and then going brittle and breaking up inside about 6 inchs from the back of the head unit.

Normally its the bit that has the foam wrapped round it up near the heater bits.

Might be worth cutting 6 inchs or so out and replacing that section before you rip it all apart  :y
