www.mytyres.co.uk
www.etyres.co.uk
www.blackcircles.com
www.blackboots.co.uk
www.event-tyres.co.uk
www.camskill.co.uk (and then source local fitting)

Thanks a lot, highly appreciated :)
Seems like most of these companies are for UK customers and include fitting (except camskill and eBay).
I´m primarily looking for web stores that sell tyres without fitting and deliver to Sweden.

For normal road tyres, you're probably best off trying to find a local (to you) supplier. I would imagine shipping from a UK based company would probably make the cost prohibitive (and many probably won't be set up to handle exporting them).

Camskill might be worth a try for more specialised rubber, though.

Edit to say: Most Uk internet suppliers will quote either mail order or fully fitted prices. They use local depots to do the fitting if that's what the customer specifies.

The price level in the UK is generally lower compared to Swedish prices (this goes for many different products, not just tyres) and the shipping costs from the UK to Sweden are usually pretty reasonable.

I've been trying to find UK web stores that deliver to Sweden but the most common seems to be that the prices include fitting.

KUMHO KU31 ECSTA SPORT 215/55R16 97W XL TL at £66.70 each from Camskill seems like a fair price :y

Anyone who has experience with this tire fitted to an Omega? ???

My mistake. Was looking at ones with lower speed ratng. Sorry.
But German sites might be worth a look. Postage is normally reasonable

Yeah, I buy a lot from German web stores as well.
Price level is often good but sometimes it is hard to find companies that deliver to Sweden (quite often delivering just to Germany and Austria).
Anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll keep on searching :)
Do you by chance know of any other good German tyre web store? ::)

Afriad I don't as I buy mine locally. But if I stumble across anything I'll post it up.

KU31s in 17" are pretty good IME. Wear rate not the lowest and not a great deal of feedback in the handling stakes but decent level of grip in wet and dry and reasonably quiet.

The KU31's seems to be a good compromise. Actually I'm choosing between these and
Hankook K115 Ventus Prime 2, can't make my mind up which is the better choice :-\

chances are that KU31 may be old stock .. so some of its life may have passed on shelf..

new model is KU39.. please be sure about their production dates.. :-\

Thanks, will keep that in mind.

(I have learned that correctly stored, unused summer tyres will last up to ten years so hopefully it won't be a problem.)

I'm afraid no.. there is no way to keep them same as new.. their softing agents are volatile petroleum based fluids..
and no matter what precaution you try , these fluids will evaporate and chemical bonding agents will slowly degrade :-\

OK, seems to be a controversial subject ;)
Better keep 'em as new as possible  :y

I have been having this debate/fight with tire suppliers for long trime.. and they are liers without doubt.. >:(

every rubber will harden.. every petroleum fluid will evaporate .. if you want to stop this the only way
is to cool them to absolute 0 (-273 celcius) and keep in a thermodynamically isolated/closed vessel..

who says the opposite must re-start the chemistry class from the very beginning.. sorry .. :-\

It seems to be very good tyre. It actually came on 1st place in this test earlier this year :y

Found a German web store myself: http://www.fipio-reifen.com/ (http://www.fipio-reifen.com/)

Low prices and delivery to several countries possible with affordable shipping costs.

Have not tried it myself yet but seems to be a good alternative according to customer reviews:

Tyre manufacturers say the tyre shouldn't be used after 5 years from the production date.

Yes, thanks, I have now understood that 10 years is too long and that 5 years is more accurate :y

(Although Michelin, for example, sets the far limit to 10 years, with thorough, annual inspections after 5 years :-\

Michelin tyres seem to turn to plastic after about 2k, thus should last forever.  Or until they find a ditch, which they will :P
