The eldest cat brought it back and swmbo took it out her mouth , i think the bird was playing dead as it started chirpin in her hand  ;D I think them yellowhammers are protected birds . Mice and shrews seem to be brought back mostly without heads  :(

I saw the title and thought 'woman' for 'bird' .. I'm almost disappointed now I've read the thread ;D

Although i think that is a good idea to scare the birds under attack i would never put any sort of collar on a cat as they are in and out of trees and hedges , possibly having a collar on would get them tangled up and trapped . No more tweeties brought back since  :)

That's why I do not like cats. I read somewhere that cats kill 50 million birds a year in the UK!

Ooops, I was wrong, its 75 million! http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-releases/new-cat-collar-warns-the-bird-its-time-to-fly-156779215.html

:o :o :o :o I don't like cats much. I've had my fill of them shitting on my lawn. Dirty animals. I wonder what the neighbours would say if my dog shit on their lawn ::)
-
Yeah, all the neighbours' cats are happy to cr@p on my garden, but can I train our cat to return the complement?  >:( I have watched our cat come in through the cat flap specifically to use the litter tray, then go straight out again. (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/26795734/Smilies/bangshead.gif)
