Still having problems with the steering, even after changing wishbones, I have had the tracking adjusted and it was way out, but i am not sure if this was the fact I had changed the wisbones which caused this. The car is in for a full geo adjustment at protyre on monday two questions really, what data do they need for the setup and also, when I bounce the front of the car, there is movement in the top of the front suspension struts visible in the engine bay, is this normal and if so how much movement should there be
-
I would expect visible movement to be normal as the strut isn't actually bolted to the top of the inner wing, and tracking on it's own isn't worth $hit where the Omega is concerned....you need the full GEO.

the tracking was done after I changed the wishbones, but I knew it needed a full setup, which is being done on monday, not sure if that will cure the problem, but I cant see anything else worn.

Other than being able to see the strut moving slightly, you haven't said what the problem is yet.

Sorry, wonders all over the road especially when you hit a odd camber or even white lines, you can feel the car snatch to one side.

Assuming the wishbones have been changed correctly and that you don't have stupidly wide oversize tyres, the tramlining you are experiencing will be because the geometry is nowhere near where it should be.

Top mounts do move. They have to.
Follow the guide to sort the handling. It's quite a common issue.

I had the same problem when i fitted 18 inch oz wheels to my omega...tram lining and wandering all over the place....felt unsafe....my tyres were legal with around 2.5mm tread left on them...however decided on the advice given to me on this forum to buy new tyres....hey presto problem solved.... :y
