Been looking at a 02 plate 148,000 miles £900 the car looks ok its MOTd untill March next year everything works as far as i can see but my questions are
Is the 2.2 the BMW engine oir not?
WHAT? if anything do i need to look for/check out on a diesel engined omega before i consider buying it?

take it for a test drive, and no its not a bmw engine thats the 2.5 td
check tyres for signs of wear on outer and inside edges, and also see what advisories were given on last mot, these are now on the mot certificate, which is printed on a a4 sheet of paper,if it isnt still a4 and cut to size then they are hiding something :y

No the 2.2 DTi is the Vauxhall engine a 4 Pot the BMW is a 6 Cylinder 2.5 Engine.
From my experience the Dti Omegas check for Oil leaks down right at the bottom of the engine e.g. sump/ Oil Pressure switch,
Listen for irregular noises on idle e.g. loud idle hard diesel knock etc. and finally when on test drive when accelarating hard try to feel for a variation in power through the turbo power band as there maybe problems with boost control or Intercooler pipes other than that sounds good mate :y
