Title: "Spanner warning light"will not go out...2003 Elite 3.2...

What does "spanner"warning light signify,is it over-due service?....Is there any way to extinguish it without visit to dealers?...Thanks,Rew.

It means there is a fault somewhere, you need to read the codes, follow the pedal trick here:

Can you clarify, your post says 3.2, yet your profile says 3.0?

Its not mine,its one I am considering purchasing...My present car is the 3.0,at the moment,trouble-free!

Pedal trick, details in the above link. That will give you the trouble codes & an indication of whats wrong  :)

 Thought the 0430/0420 codes put the engine light on not the spanner.
