Just made 2 bakewell tarts, first time I've made them, looking good and hopefully taste good once they've cooled a tad. Any of you big butch men bake?  ;D

Yep, my fav is a lemon/orange drizzle cake...pure bliss. :y

Mmmmmm,got some bakewell tarts from M&S last week they were divine,but I bet homemade are nicer  :D :D :y

Yep made a Rachel Khoo savoury cake only yesterday.

Goats cheese chunks, chopped pistachios and prunes. Next one will have walnuts and figs and goats cheese.

carrot-walnut mixture cake.. and a prof style chocolate cake with chestnut cream.. but I gave up some time ago
as I'm overweight and other health problems.. :(
 
ps: sometimes my wife bakes but prefers to give neighbours not to me >:(

I don't bake - I'm cookingly-challenged. Seriously, I can screw up perfectly simple recipes. The lady I've been seeing recently does, though..

You can tell I did the icing because I screwed it up and it curdled. The icing was not good. Boo.

Have baked many fruit cake loafs with the aid of the bread maker , sling all ingredients in and turn on ..job done then similar for sponge cake stuffing cream and jam in middle . Problem is jam and cream dripping down chin  ;D :y

Yes, I enjoy baking, fruit cakes and treacle pudding are my favorites to make and eat. :y

I also cook many other dishes as I like to eat good quality home made food. :y

Absolutely, I wouldn't ask a lady to service my car or do any other gentlemanly persuits so why would I want to cook or clean ::) ::)

Good job there's not so many women on her now :)

Since reding this yesterday I have had the things on my mind since. Had to go to the nearest decent baker this morning for one, 10 mile round trip, but i8t was worth it MMMMMMMMMM :y

I do all the cooking and enjoy it, must try baking sometime but I leave it to SWMBO ::)

Well I must've done summat right! The mrs owns a hairdressers and took one of the bakewells in so the old dears could have a slice with their cuppa. She reports back that every one of them said it tasted lovely. Well chuffed :) :) :)
