Title: Cruise control
Post by: cure2fast on 09 July 2012, 11:10:46
Hi guys! I had facelifted 2.5 DTI omega, and after my engine died I put 3.0 V6 . I noticed that my cruise control is not working. I thought it's because of 3.0 model doesn't have cruise control, but then I saw that it has. So my question is there any difference between 2.5 DTI and 3.0 cruise control since one has eletronic and other mechanic air flow control (I don't know the exact expresion for this element, I mean I am missing a word :) ), and can I somehow make it work again?
Just to notice that my pedal sensor is still working (I read that it's important for cruise control)...

2.5 diesel is DBW (electronic throttle body)

3.0 V6 has a cable operated throttle, you need the control module and a few other bits to make it work, as its a mechanical process, not electronic  :y
