Have scheduled an aircon gas refill tomorrow.
Aircon is not cooling the car at all so I suspect no gas.
Started the aircon today to check it and I noticed the fans in front of the radiator (between grille and rad) are not working when the aircon is on.
Fan behind the rad (between the rad and engine runs ok)
Not sure should they be working wihout aircon gas, and I don't want to pay for a gas refill if this it isn't the problem but the fans are.
Can anybody give me some advice
Also can this be a problem with car cooling (don't know if these fans are used for aircon or cooling the car)

Also outside temp sensor isn't working but this shouldn't be related to this cause car is MFL but I could be wrong :-[

My two front fans start when the ac is on. They also start with ac of together with the fan behind the rad if engine temp gets to high. Dont know if this is correct though. But with low or no ac gas the system wont start at all, allthough the button inside the car lights up. This is to protect the compressor. Check if the centre part of the compressor pulley turns with the engine. If yes the ac is operating if the centre is still its shut down.

If the gas is low or empty, there is a shut off so it doesnt damage the compressor, its the front fan for the air con, rear fan for engine cooling, both on for aircon.
When you have it refilled, start the car, switch the aircon on, set it to LO on both sides, there will be a slight drop in revs, this is where the compressor kicks in and both fans should be running, and as long as there are no problems, it should run nice and cool
Omega aircon system is not designed to run ICY cold, just bear that in mind :y
