Bloody no service since about 3 o'clock this afternoon, I seemed to have been one of the first affected, my son had his and it was at full whack. Now him and I are off, bloody nuisance, whole country barring a few lucky ones are affected apparently. I do hope I get some money off the bill!

First thing in the morning I am off to buy a Homing Pigeon ;D

We are lucky if we can get 2G round here >:( >:(
Just checked my phone and i've no signal now >:(
Has somebody naughty hacked in and being playing with the software at O2 :-X :-X
-
Someone I was meeting yesterday had theirs go down abou 1 pm yesterday. He went into O2 who denied any issues but admitted that he was the 14th person in the last 10 mins ::)
My GG phone has been hit and miss all through, although I do have signal at the moment. Glad I've got 2 phones for work ::)
-

Guys, for everyone with an iPhone or similar, turn your 3G off, on the iPhone it's in: Settings - General - Network - Enable 3G, switch it off. Mine is now fully functional :y.
-
Yep, official advice from o2.

Full 5bar signal now. All fixed here it seems.
-
O2 was down yesterday round here, but also seemed to have signal issues on our 2 phones that are on 3, not sure if they are related at all.
-
3G is all good here now :y.
-
All good as well now I bet that caused some
Right crap !! >:(
-
I'm with O2 over here in Spain.
Endless problems which they fob off as you are using the wrong level of software, clear your cookies, must be your USB dongle plug it in a different computer etc etc.
Whenever I speak to one of their Technicos, miraculously afterwards it works well for a few days. Grim customer experience. :'(
-
This even made the national news on the BBC :(
One stupid bint was complaining that she couldn't contact anyone, and another bloke said he hadn't recieved any orders TOSSERS >:( >:(
Use a land line ::) ::)
What is it about the mobile phone generation ??? ??? "I'm on the bus", "I am in Tesco" they walk round as if the bloody thing is glued to their ear.. talking unimportant shite, Get A Freakin Life :D :D
My first portable phone was the size of a breeze block with the batteries in a supermarket trolly :D, then a car phone, then a mobile the size of a house brick with limited battery life, pain in the bloody arse, staff couldn't make a decision they'd call me 24*7, so would her indoors.... >:( >:( If the network went down.. PEACE AT LAST.. :y :y
I use my mobile for emergencies only when I'm travelling, otherwise it sits next to the house phone on silent I'll look at it when I'm passing if the light flashes I may look ..... usually a crap joke ;D ;D SWMBO hasn't charged hers in months ;D ;D
I don't understand all the fuss with mobiles or being online, being independent means not being tied to these devices :y :y
-
My 16 year old has been having a nervous breakdown for the last 6 hours since I kicked him out of bed ::)
-
We're GiffGaff here (runs on O2 infrastructure). I've been utterly unaffected, its been working perfectly.
Mrs TB hasn't been about to use hers at work all week, although O2 have got this down as a mast fault in her area, so thats unrelated. She got home yesterday, no signal. Swapped SIMs over, fault went with her SIM. Cleaned SIM with surgical spirits, it worked again. I did notice that it took longer to register on the network. Although O2 won't release info (I suspect for fear of opening themselves for legal actions), I suspect they lost a lot of their capacity for registering onto the network.
-
never noticed a thing but the my battery did die at about 3pm :D
-
I charged up my works Vodafone yesterday, as a fallback. 10,000 text msgs (not been on for a while), including a load from Mum. You'd think she'd know my normal mobile number ;D
-
hasnt affected me,ohh im on orange lol ;D
-
My GG phone was in and out of service all day yesterday as I was travelling ::)
It did have a direct impact on our business but (fortunately) I have another handset too (which is actually my main one) :y
Unfortunately Cleggy, my work is reliant on mobile phones ::)

Then it is a useful tool of the trade ;) :y
You know what I mean, the muppets with a ring tone so loud as to break the sound barrier with some tunless music, who shout so loud that they don't need a phone in the first place, deserve an ASBO. ;D ;D Worst of all, the ignorant prats who cease all conversation when their mobile rings even when being served in a shop etc. One of our local pubs is the best, there are signs banning mobile phones, break this rule at your peril.... there are at least six nailed to the wall including an IPhone ;D ;D :y :y Keep it on silent and join the smokers smokers if you need to use it :y

Like it :y
There was a item on the local TV news here the other day about a local college doing some mock interviews with students preparing them for the world of work. One lad couldn't understand why the interviewer walked out when the lad answered his mobile in the interview. Blooming heck!

Well, I was stranded in Munich (thanks, Sleazyjet >:() and my phone decided to munch through its' battery in a couple of hours repeatedly trying to connect. No flight home, no hotel, no mobile phone. :(
-
Aw Kev, sounds like a mare. :(

Well, the retards did eventually get me home... 24 hours late. >:(
Me and a couple of other stranded did have to step in and take over crowd control, though.. ::)
Walking out into a crowd of 200 pi$$ed off travellers and saying "well, I've found 15 hotel rooms, so can 15 of you please get into that bus over there" doesn't work, apparently, and the Sleazyjet rep didn't have any better ideas. ;D

My Sky keeps shedding wet stuff onto me, and when I try to fly in it, the flight gets cancelled. I'd like a dose of his luck. ;)
