Title: 2.5 v6 cdx 1999 v plate

Auxiliary drive belt just shredded. is it possible that more damage could be done as it now fails to start sounds like no compression! Think its time to go.

It is possible for bits of the auxiliary belt to find its way into the cambelt cover making the cambelt jump teeth :( :(

Also, if driven more than a few hundred yards, due to no waterpump, it would very severely overheat

Yeah found that out doing 80 on the motorway  :-[ ::)

Mine took out a crankshaft sensor it was the tensioner bearing that went on mine still started but eml came on and it ran lumpy.
