Title: Seaside rescue
Post by: Martin_1962 on 14 April 2008, 09:57:28
I like this programme

Last week they were in Gloucestershire for the floods, yesterday I saw my favourite beach, not much of it mind you - just the far end from the cafe.

Some nice views of Falmouth.

The helicopter crew are very good.

DOCUMENTARY: Seaside Rescue
On: BBC 1 Midlands (01)
Date: Sunday 13th April 2008 (Already shown)
Time: 18:30 to 19:00 (30 minutes long)

Documentary series following the work of maritime rescue services. An elderly lady falls awkwardly on the Isle of Wight, but there's no way of getting her out except by air. The crew of Whisky Bravo have some tough decisions to make. In Perranporth, one girl has taken her mother's warning not to talk to strangers very literally, which makes it doubly hard for the lifeguards to reunite her with her mum - and more children are in trouble at sea but there aren't enough lifejackets to go around.

With the violent nature of rugby, I am getting used to watching the air ambulance land in the rugby field out the back of my house (I back on to rugby field). The club seems to be having a bad run - almost every week an ambulance is called, and as said, occasionally the air ambulance.
