Oh, dear.  :(

Moving bits meeting stationery bits they shouldn't, or not that bad?

AFAICT, not driver error. LPG related. The dash warnings were on the LPG switch, and a lot of bleeping going on.

Got home on petrol. I know, a mortal sin.

Oh, not a "proper" failure then. ;)

Struggling to think what the bang was all about, then.  :-\

Wonder if the diaphragm in the regulator went "pop" .. it's about the only moving part I can think of, pressure would drop instantly so giving the impression of no gas, so bleeping ......

but pure guesswork I admit ....

I guess, look for obvious. If nothing then plug it in and read the codes. I wonder if it related to the very feint whiff of gas we can't track down :-\

Might be able to swing past on Sunday on the way home from Basingrad but doubtful :-\

Every time TB mentioned he could smell Gas, I never could. Just hot pipes, or a generally hot engine. :-\

Sounds like a blow back and ignition in the airbox/induction area. You may not have a complete intake system left!

First prize to Mr Gixer.

I'm guessing the bang was it hitting something.

I knew immediately what it was, just not where - and I heard the feed depressurise. It sounded underneath, and it happened as I drove (slowly!) through a pothole, although it wasn't deep. But initial reaction was caught the gas pipe.

The safety systems worked as expected, and shut the tank valve.

Just hope I have all the required bits still....

Poly feed to vap?

Position of the pipe under the car means it won't ground on a flat surface. There would have to be high point to protrude into the fuel line run...?

Or the jolt was enough to make a loose join fail under pressure..?

Yup, the fitting has come out of the liquid filter. Hope the olive is still inside.

Wasn't much of a jolt, that bit of road is like going up a rough track, so walking pace maximum.

If you're short of anything let me know and I'll rummage in my LPG junk box.

Olive will be in there, unless the brass nut has come undone?

Or has the poly blown off the bayonet fitting? (edit, ignore the last line)
