British taxpayers will be ordered to pay an extra £350 million to fund the European Union next year after a behind-the-scenes deal in Brussels which left the UK powerless to resist the increase.

Dear Mr Bat,
In light of our spending like there’s no tomorrow investing £9 billion or so (and counting) to allow people to run around and throw spears (amongst other things) and for the great and good of this land to feel, well, great and good about themselves demonstrate the innovative determination and talent still in abundance in this sadly oppsed-up country great nation, this extra contribution to our real government in Brussels is, in my view, more than justified.
I do hope you will understand that we all must make sacrifices for the common good and future development of our great country within an invigorated and ever stronger European Union.
Please remember that as well as seeking to dip our collective mitts into the taxpayer's pocket (a brand new Olympic discipline in honour of one of the great recreational activities practiced by the governing classes of Great Britian) 'Inspire a generation', we need to look after the boys hopes and aspirations of the future youth of this country within Europe and that in these straitened times, that’s not easy when the cloth has to be cut in so many ways.
We all in this together after all.
Yours selflessly,
Sebastian Coe one of the boys (Lord and chairman of the LOCOG)

The total salary bill for staff at EU institutions in 2011 was more than £2.7 billion, which is more than double the amount it spends on freedom, security, justice and citizenship.

Very good.
Socialists are very good at spending more and more of other peoples money, but eventually it runs out. >:(
