Title: Omega 2.0L Clutch Judder
Post by: wesagog on 24 July 2012, 10:02:50
Dears,,,
I had a problem with my Omega B 2.0lit, 1996, Manual transmission...
I changed the friction plate with new one (the old one is wasted) with new clutch thrust bearing and I kept the Pressure plate... but I faced a problem that there is a very bad vibration after I drive my car for about 15 min and this vibration appear when I want to start drive after each stop ( when I start lift my leg from the pedal)  ... this vibration shakes everything from the half of my car to the back end, after the car start move and I lift my leg completely from the pedal... everything go normal.
everybody advised me to change the pressure plate and that's what I did yesterday but the result is the same...
what I noticed is there is a simple movement between the flywheel body and the center of it (about 5 degree clockwise-anticlockwise) but somebody told me this is normal...
I need your advice please and why this vibration Not appear when my car still cold in the beginning of each trip?!!!

Go under the car and give the propshaft a good wiggle and look and the centre bearing on the prop there should be NO movement.
If the prop moves in a side to side motion then the centre bearing is knackered :y
Or worst case the flywheel is warped
