Title: Cars speedo and other things not working - heat related?
Post by: RN55ONE on 24 July 2012, 18:06:11
I drove my car to work this morning and parked up.
Everything was fine.

At 5pm when I got back into my car the speedo, rev counter, fuel gauge, thermostat gauge and MID all do not work.
I have parking sensors which get activated when they detect the reverse light has been lit and come on - but they do not work either.

When i press the clock symbol on the MID, the MID lights up and shows the correct outside temperature and correct time. After about 30 seconds it goes off again.

The cruise control stalk works. the MFD stalk does not (apart from lighting up the MID).

It was very very hot when I got into the car - could this have caused something?

I drove it back home and have just tried switching the car on and off, but still no luck.

Has this happened to anyone else?
What could be the problem?
