Title: fitting a turbo
Post by: maskedpump on 25 July 2012, 18:51:33
Hey guys,

I've bought a new turbo from twiglet on OOF, I'm now just wandering how hard is it to swap the two over?

Not done a DTi one, only a TD Omega one. Fairly painless. Can't imagine DTi one is much different, except its in an easier location.

If you're chnaging it because of a turbo failure, then you also need to remove as much as the intake system(all of it really), including the intercooler and  the pipes and flush them through.
That way you might manage to prevent bits of broken turbo damaging your new one and the rest of the engine.
