				Hi all,
I've heard that matter the type of gas , so what type should I ask for the mechanic?  Thx     Laszlo

If your car was manufactured after 1994, chances are you have R134 gas.
If your car is older and not been updated there is a good chance it uses the older R12 refrigerant.
I don't think you can get the R12 anymore so it will be the R134 and it should have a small amount of compressor oil added.
It is a specialist's job to be honest because of the equipment needed to vacuum the system out as part of the service.

Yes, and if a specialist wasn't able to work out what type of gas a system required, alarm bells would start to ring. ;)

 Only if it's broken.

Otherwise, the information will be on a sticker ;D

All Omegas, to my knowledge, were R134.

But its a specialist job to do properly. Anything else is just a temp bodge.
