Title: Quick question for the experts
Post by: D on 31 July 2012, 15:27:54
Are the battery dimensions physically the same for the preface and facelift models?

Edit: Petrol 3.0 pre and 3.2 facelift

Its the same battery tray across the range/age, but the battery capacity (thus physical size) varied over time/spec...

I need a battery for the 3.2. Vx TC is £60 odd. Our local Costco is selling the Bosch Silver with a 5 yr guarantee for £70. Only thing is that their system quotes it fits the 3.0, no mention of the 3.2. Eurocar parts reckon it will fit the 2003 3.2.

If it fits, it is worth the few quid more for a longer warranty.

If it fits the 3.0l, it will fit 3.2l

Unlike many places, Costco are very good with their warranty stuff, although no idea what they will say 2 or 3 years down the line.

The Go ones have not given me any cause for concern.

Except they are no longer "GO" branded batteries. Standard Vx branding ;) Although I dare say the internals are exactly the same ::)
