I can confirm, it bloody hurt. Not at the time - I felt fine. The next day, at the risk of sounding gay, it friggin' smarted :-[

6 months :o As Albs said, was it that long ago :o
There was some clear affection for that car, sorry for your loss :'(

In some respects it seems longer. The pain aspect.
In other respects, it seems like only 2 or 3 months since it was sat on the driveway :'(
I loved that little car :'(

Best I've had. 12years and 116k. Interior build quality was, well, "Longbridge", but what a fantastic little car.
Tried other 25's as potential replacements, none go or handle like that one.

Many many many moons ago I came off my motor bike (GT250) over Shap, too much right hand - I was 19 yrs old ::) (Yes - it was THAT long ago). At the time I felt fine, the following day, I ached in places I didn't even know I had. :( :( :(

Must be honest, last time I ate tarmac, I popped some of Mrs TB's strong painkillers, which knocked me out (as does an aspirin TBH). When they wore off, bejesus, I can honestly say I have never, ever, ever experienced anything like that. It actually hurt that much, I passed out.

Morphine can be a really wonderful thing.I dont actually like being under the influence of it,but it can dull pain which would otherwise probably kill you. ;D

I did more damage to my face passing out than I did in the 'tarmac eating incident'. When I went in to work, they though all the cuts and grazes were due to the accident, not me headbutting the chest of drawers in the bedroom ;D
-
Thats just gay. ::) ;D

Gay!

Copart isn't somewhere you want to see your own vehicle!
Get a nice chavy MG ZR thing to fit with TBE.
Here's a nice subtle one for you;

Yeah, me too. The effect was a bit too close to permanent last time I took one. (about 15 years ago) :o
6 months has flown by, though. :o

So will Grover be replaced? and with what? :)

I keep trying to tell her something V8, but she's not having any of it...

Crikey, those 6 months have flown by! :o
Totally understand your feelings over the car TB, it's not often you find a car you have total trust & confidence in :(
I hope the after effects of the injuries aren't long lasting ;) :y
-
Nasty rear shunt! :o
If only it was just that. It involved 3 other cars, a central reservation, and 4 distinct, seperate impacts.
If you look at first pic, above B pillar, a small ripple in bodywork, a telltale that the safety cell had just started to deform :o

R8 sporteagon (Estate) not imported sadly. And is said to handle better than the saloon. A beautiful looking car IMO. In the old shape.
