Don't remember seeing many of these, even back in the day but that green velour looks very inviting. Must resist

I remember them being a new car this (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Fareham&hl=en&ll=50.852694,-1.188776&spn=0.007979,0.01929&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=7.767092,19.753418&oq=fareham&t=h&hnear=Fareham,+Hampshire,+United+Kingdom&z=16&layer=c&cbll=50.852668,-1.188346&panoid=S5m-Hv4Z27X9FLi9UZgZIg&cbp=12,177,,0,17.32) used to be a Vauxhall dealership ........ the very first were badged Opel.

A good mate of mine had a black one like that,it sadly ended its days in a head on with a transit van :'(

That velour is, er, challenging. The Senator-A is very... old-school CID/ spooks, don'tcha think?

You don't need to say that one twice Klepto. ;D ;D - although for the most part - as far as I remember - never on general issue to the mouth-breathers. :-X
We ran a few of the later cars (unmarked) which were in that lovely metallic burgundy colour. :-* :-* but I must say, there were few more impressive sights than one of these cars carrying full Trafpol livery having its arse skelped by the driver. 8)

Mate of mine is restoring a very late Merseyside B, can't wait to see it finished.

Even more hideous that the version that replaced it...

I must admit, the Senator-B to Omega styling change must have been similar to the jump from Escort to Focus in 1990-wotsit... but I still love the Senator.

I had one in that Burgundy colour Den.Best car Ive ever owned.Twice the car any Omega could hope to be. It was the pinnacle of Vauxhalls car manufacturing,it went downhill to an extent with the Omega and has continued into utter mediocrity ever since. :y

You mean a diesel Corsa with big wheels and spoilers isn't desirable? Damn...

When you look at the current "flagship" model...... ;) ::) :-X

Corrected that for you ;D ;D :y
( also Jeremy Clarkson hasn't helped Vauxhall's Image over the years mainly with the word Vectra and remember the Signum review that was bloody awful )
-
He was right though, they are crap cars. ;)
-
Never seen a video review on top gear of the omega pre facelift or even facelift when new just all the vectra's... weird i thought. probably good thing in some ways god knows what he'd say about them lol
-
Never had any issues with my old 2.5 veccy :) they were slated by clarkson like you say but that just made them cheaper to buy :y

Yeah they are nice cars especially the 2.5/2.6 CDX veccy but never have been so keen on the bubbly one even so better than most of its rivals Clarkson seriously has a problem with Vauxhall although not with the HOLDEN Monaro/VXR8 as he calls them..

God awful car. Just not as bad as the Vectra-C.

Vectra B 2.5 cdx hatch in black ... manual , had it for 3 yrs . Still like them now but each to their own :P ;D ... no issues with pulling to the left as they were also slated for :y

Colleague had a 2.5CDX Veccy-B, more than once we were stripping it in the carpark at lunchtime.
Too clostrophobic for a large car, and woefull handling, even with soft front tyres

Kill it, kill it with fire!
Sorry, but it clearly came from the decade that style forgot.
