As it say changed the front wishbone bushes today and thanks to the notes and help offered on here it was a easy job. Second side took 25 minutes from whell off to ready to put wheel on.
I did notice that there is a socket for brake wear indicators located on the wall, I assume this is VX making a one size loom fits all as i did not think 2.0L had this facility.

Only GLS (and some non-retail models) was devoid of wear sensors. CD upwards came with them.

One of my guys had a company 2.0L GLS (on R plate if my memory is correct) - remember the low pad warning coming up on the screen on a day I requisitioned it as my Merc was in for service. ???

GLS came with a TID, not a MID, thus lacks the ability to display it on the screen ;)

This one didn't - it was a GLS bought by me (on behalf of the company) from a garage in Braintree - think it cost (with discount) around £15K. It was definately a GLS - no climate - but with a/con. I was in fact driving the car when the low pad warning came up on the screen - remember it well as I got the blame as I was known to be heavy on brakes.

So I guess that I am correct that it is one loom fits all which would make sense, so althought this is GLS if it had been higher then the plugs would have been used.

I'd have to check, but don't think Check Control was an option on GLS
The GLS came with a TID as standard. Probably from that era, either a sunroof or A/C (a CD from that era would have both). Only Elite and CDX (and retail MV6 from 1998 on) had climate.

Correct
Correct or not Jaime that particular GLS threw a low pads warning on the display. As said no climate but a/con, also no sunroof, leccy windows front only and I remember manual mirrors & seats.
