Title: uneven tyre wear??
Post by: horsecow on 10 August 2012, 23:43:10
Noticed this evening that the rear drivers side tyre is wearing much more on the inside. What could be causing this? Both fronts are similar but not as bad and the rear passenger side is wearing perfectly even???

Set up has all gone south. Bushes and saggy springs most likely.

Check suspension and steering components.
Rectify any faults.
Set up at Wim or similar.
Then fit new tyres.

Wim recomend set up once a year on any car.

Sounds like you need a full geometry set up at a Wheels in Motion approved center. The uneven wear will, however, continue through the life of the tyres ;)

not much good for where you live but I can recommend Feltham Tyres as an alternative to WIM.  http://www.felthamtyre.co.uk/alignment.html .  They were very professional and knew the omega.  Checked tyre pressures before starting which is something I hadn't though of doing.  Competitive prices too.
