Post by: pauls on 11 August 2012, 21:39:02
I know its getting borring now.
Last one after fitting the new leather seats to my car I have just relised that the passenger seat does not fold flat.. Can anybody advise on what year this came in or was it only cdx/elite that had this option.

Both my plod ones had them from factory 1 '51 and 1 '54 :y the '00 W that your rear seat came from was a CD and didn't have it...  My current interior a '00 Elite one, doesn't have it either :'(

Why do you want/need a folding seat back?  :-\

So the passenger front seat folds forward allowing full use of the cabin space for getting long items in. It's quite handy.

Elites with memory etc do not have this option.

that's because you've never needed to transport doors in the car Andy.
Her Lexus is300 has the feature too. And very handy it is :y

(although our oriental friends describe it as a "picnic table" :-\ ;D. )

A door will fit in the boot/back seat area of a saloon with the back seat down ...... not sure how just the passenger side folding helps though  :-\ :-\
