Court report story in my local paper :
Firstly address of the couple involved is a very well off area locally , most houses in this road are 1 million + so they must be fairly well off .
Anyway, apparently the mother had died a while ago & she had a disabled parking permit which ran out in 2011. This couple had been using it & had changed expiry from 2011 to 2014 . easy to turn an 11 into a 14 I suppose
A traffic warden had noticed this was being used by the wife & was not legal so issued a £60 parking ticket . Nothing else...was not reported or anything ,just a standard parking ticket & issue is done with .
Not this bloke ::) ::) He drafted a letter to contest the parking fine & made his wife sign it ( Her words in court ) & duly sent it off :o :o :o
Of course the permit had expired last year & so this was now in fact a full scale fraud case as they had records of the permits offical user passing away .
Outcome was that the wife was almost sent to prison but judge said he had never had a case like it & as his guidelines did not cover this particular crime she ended up with a hefty fine.
Reading it I cannot believe some people can be so stupid ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yes, it would be funny if it were not so sad.
This country is bulging at the seams with people who are disconnected from reality to such an extent, and so bereft of personal responsibility, that they begin to believe they are exempt from the rules and regulations we must all attempt to follow in order to maintain at least some semblance of good order.
I fancy the term 'gobshites' can be applied quite reasonably to them and their ilk.

I checked the dictionary - shameless or brazenfaced- must be suitable to explain them!

Glad they got what they deserved these people make it very difficult for people that actually need a disabled permit to get one.Wifey always had to fight for one when her daughter was alive bloody disgrace
