Title: carbon fiber covering experience..
Post by: cem_devecioglu on 14 August 2012, 08:48:25
yep.. after 9 months of usage, I can say it fades under sun even with protector polish..(must admit I start to use polish halfway)
and a sad experience, dont try it on old weak laquer..  :-[  it removed my old roof laquer half as we positioned incorrectly :'(

pictures are without polish.. and I had applied just 3 weeks ago.. our rain must be acidic.. this car was never parked under a tree ..

I guess the intense heat you been having dont help cem , must be sizzling hot on that roof ... guess its time to remove it  :-\

yep.. the constant heat whole day must have affected it..  problem is here if I paint the roof the value for the car drops  if I continue to cover it everytime it costs like a paint >:(

first problem.. it gets dirty and not easy to clean as a normal paint..

in UK I dont think it will fade quickly like here but wont last long imo.. and not sure about the rain effect..

personally I wont go for it again..
