Title: P170 & Knock Sensor problems!!
Post by: Kumamoto on 19 August 2012, 09:23:07
I replaced my omega catalytic convertor last year with an after market one and all was well until last month....
Now i have been getting the following  the following ECU trouble codes!!

Total number of fault codes: 2

P0170 - Lean Exhaust
 (02) - Not present

P1329 - Knock Control Maximum Spark Limit Cylinder 4
 (00) - Not present
P1328 - Knock Control Maximum Spark Limit Cylinder 3
 (00) - Not present

P1326 - Knock Control Maximum Spark Limit Cylinder 1
 (00) - Not present

Is it the knock sensor that needs replacing or the catalytic ???
Please help.

Check the back plugwell for oil or water ingress, and the condition of the coil pack.

Then we check the live data for lamdas, as the codes themselves are often inconclusive

I have checked the plugwell and all seems ok even the plugs. The coilpack is ok as well.
