I am not a well travelled person only england and a couple of times europe mainley work so heres the thing
was going to surprise wifey we have been married nearly 5 years and could not afford a honey moon at the time and every time i have gone to book something works turned to shite blah blah
so the plan was going to suprise wifey with one of those all inclusive things to mexico in November but one she will wet her pants two she will freak at the cost
so any destinations that are good in november time that are still fairley hot sort of beach type with visits or places local to see where you wont get killed kidnapped or set upon. maybe a little romantic 8) so i can get wifey drunk and have at least one holiday shag would be nice :) :y
any suggestion oh and no snow wifeys a sun worshipper book pool bliss but i am an explorer and beer drinker genral fat slob type ;) so a bit of both would be great
thanks

sounds good do you know where ie resort etc :y

The Canary Isles are hot all year round Paul.
We went to Ports Rico in Team Canaria and loved it. :y

Alot depends on what you want. I love Magaluf, but a party animal you become... As music full bore everywhere, plus happy hour drinking :y
Can picafort is quieter, alcudia is nice too... These are all in Majorca. We hired a car where I nearly killed us (first time ever driving when the stupid buffers were all on the wrong side) but saw some gorgeous places. One was Formentor or something like that.
Malta is nice too

I cant say some definite things for our south shores.. it may be sunny , rainy.. anywhere in southern hemipshere will be better ;D :y

thats where we went to and tbh very nice.....don't rely on public transport though as a timetable don't mean much...better off on the noddy train that goes around the whole resort for £1.50ish
-
oo malta never thought of that...dont mind loud etc enjoy watching people having a laugh and jane can be a bit of a party animal when shes in the right frame of mind ;D

Florida is Hot in November, no massive crowds and outside of Schools holidays quite cheap.
If you are not into the theme park orlando type place, Sarasota is further down and quiet. Worth a look.
-
Canaries are hot all the time, though mostly the Ibiza type holiday now.
Spain, IMHO, has suffered badly, and even places like La Manga seem run down.
Southern med, or eastern med, should be in low 20s - but check online. Some of the greek islands cater for the quiet, romantic type getaways, esp if you are prepared to travel to proper tavernas at night.
If you want all inclusive, TBH you could go anywhere. All hotels look the same. So somewhere hot is enough. Red Sea resorts in Eygpt are alledgedly a good place for sun, and often all-inclusive. Never been myself. But my memories of Eygpt are there are a lot on light fingered locals, so stay in hotel, or on organised tours.
If you want for solitude, a private villa is nice. As we speak, thats what I'm staying in.

Yep. Went there in February last year. A very welcome break. Clearwater is quite nice for a beach holiday too, from memory.
Mrs. KW and I went to Cape Town in (our) autumn on our honeymoon, and that would be lovely that time of year. You probably need to keep your wits about you a little more than in europe / US destinations, though, and if you're after a predominantly beach holiday rather than sight seeing / travelling around there's probably little point in going that far (no jet lag, though).
-
Gozo is lovely and i'm looking forward to going again soon ;)
-
Paul. Malta is very nice you'l see cars & trucks& you have forgoten about & they drive on the left & its warm all year round.

Private Villa gets my vote, can't stand the all inclusive hotels. You have to share everything with other people! I want a private pool, my own space when on holiday.
I went to Crete last month, near 40 most days, Winter its going to be cool, but not cold.
Highly recommend James Villa's, always very good, we went to Portugal last year. Hire cars are usual run of the mill FWD boxes, but their Villas are lovely:

Villas look good Tunnie thanks but we want a bit more action ( whilst we still can ;D ;D) the family did think of that a few years ago but our family together on a holiday with wine drink etc ::) ;D ;D even so it was not a bad idea andf as you say own pool etc i do liike my space some times but i also like to put on some heels and paint the town red :o :o
heels as in brouges i am far to heavy for steletoes
-
africa is only scarey if you go to the wrong places(bit like ramsgate on a saturday night)
cyprus is good and they all talk english dosnt matter where you stay hire a car and you can travel the length of the island in 2 hours[troodos for the views, nappa for the clubbing].
-
trust me i would take my chances in ramsgate any night of the week...one wrong turn paul and you could end up in a pot...not sure that could/does happen in ramsgate :y
-
Had a fortnight in Cyprus quite a few years ago.Really liked it.Stayed in Paphos, which was lively but not too lively. Took a mini cruise to Israel and Egypt while we were there, which was brilliant and very cheap. Not sure if the Egypt leg of the cruise would be available in the current climate though.
Cems country is also worth considering.Very nice indeed, although it can be very very hot mid summer. Almost as hot as it was at the pyramids in Egypt. :y
Plenty to see in Turkey if you get away from the usual tourist traps. ;)
-
At that time of the year it's either the Canaries or I would prefer Madeira beautiful island and a tad unusual destination away from the common rabble :y :y

The Corfu (maybe all of it, I'm not sure) part of Agni Travel is run by one of the MR2 club members; plenty of ROC guys have stayed over there in his villas and loved it, might be worth a look - especially if you can track down Nathan himself..

Hi Paul, not being rude. But how much do you want to spend,me and the wife went to the.El dorado Royal Spa by karisma last year Its on the riviera maya in mexico, made me and the wife wet ourselves.Take a look at there web site, its an unbelievable place.Only thing is its £6,000 for two weeks all inclusive, but just stunning :) :y
-
mexico i think was about £2200 all inc so with some pin money guess about 3k but wifey wants to wait until next year so really just a cheapy Malta looks good more becuase its a short flight, alot of it depends how work goes and when i can get some time off to be honest so it will be a bit last minute even if it is just for a week
getting quite a few good ideas though thanks :y :y :y

Portugal! I spent a few days in Lisbon a few years ago, whilst working at a classic F1 event at Estoril circuit just outside of Lisbon, and there's a seaside town nearby call Cascais which was really nice! I was going to find a hotel in Cascais, but I was working for Shell and they had already organised a 5 star in Lisbon for me!! Heyho! ::)
The event was fantastic, they had 2 full races one with F1 cars from Stirling Moss's era and one from the James Hunt era!! :y I met some lovely Portugese ladies who were going to The Algarve for a few days after and invited me along! :) Sadly I had to drive back to London so had to decline... :'( Really should have gone AWOL!!!! ;) ::)
Anyway I digress. Lisbon is a nice city to look around and the beaches arn't that far away! I don't think you'd get many Brits on the piss in Cascais!! :y It's abit upmarket from what I remember and I've always had a hankering to go back!! :)

I'll agree with that, was at a conference in Lisbon in '84 and went to Cascais to a really superb restaurant on the seafront. Lisbon is nice to visit small but some nice historical places like the castle etc, the shops were good and the restaurants in the square, mind you quite a lot of beggars and hookers at night, but never a problem. :y

Portugal gets my vote. Albufuera. Been twice in the last 5 years.
Resort is aprox half hours drive from Faro airport, i hate it when you have to travel ages to get to your resort. :(
There's the "strip" area , one long er, strip ;D , crammed with plenty of lively bars/clubs if that's what you want.
If your after something a bit quieter, albufuera old town is only 3 miles away from the strip. Bit more sedate with some really nice bars/ restaurants. :y

Think I was sat in Paphos airport when typing that. My only trip to Limasol this time was driving past it on the way to Lefkara, just to keep Mrs TB happy...
