Only use a thread like this to try new companies, so many factors in insurance, age, license points (if any), location, engine type, years of NCB, single/married, all make costs soo varied.

Given that most of you are old farts, count yourself lucky when it comes to insurance.

You current car quote is almost what I pay just for the bike  :o  :(

i have yet to understand car insurance.
they all say the reason it keeps going up is due to personal injury claims and claims mangment companys and other things.
well if insurance wasnt that good a paying buissness why are there so many companys selling it,and more joining the fold :o

Until you are unfortunate enough to have to use insurance to cover an injury, you are unaware of the whole industry, and amounts of money that details are being sold for. And none of the industry is the slightest bit interested in dealing with the injury, its all based/assumed on trying to get (in effect) fraudulent claims through. Horrendously corrupt like you wouldn't believe.

I got a quote from a comparison site once and it triggered a rather avalanche of unwanted calls from them. I can assure you I will never deal with them again (other than to tell them to go forth and multiply again, as I'm sure they'll start calling me again soon). >:(

I made the mistake of using Swinton for my Trade Policies this year because they were a little cheaper than anyone else. Unfortunately they have more than tripled that difference with "Admin Fees" for any changes/additions I have had to make >:(

I doubt they'll be getting my business next year month!
