Hi All, Hope this is in the right section.
Just been to the local Vx dealers for prices on parts with trade card (Autobahnstormers). Was a bit shocked to see the following, just for putting top of engine back together. I put a list of numbers and descriptions together, also questioning whether any other bits might be needed for putting heads back on car - HG set, manifold gaskets, o rings, sealant, etc for 2.5 V6 petrol year 2000 F/L

At these sort of prices it would be cheaper to buy replacement Omegas and run them into the ground.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. I'd like to fit original parts, and should be looking elsewhere, or at a different list of numbers?
Cheers

£196 for each bank for the gaskets :o :o :o :o

You've not been quoted trade there, spark plugs £4.50 each too :o :o

Search on the bay for this seller trechii ring him and get the head gaskets and bolts. Other bits for the HG "kit" source from VX

I will back this company up as well. Rebuild several engine with parts from him ( mostly ecotecs) and not a single part from vx and never got any problems. Would even advise get as many parts from them as you can. Bill will go significantly down.

Thanks for your replies - will have to do some further searching.

Another vote for trechii here - HGs and stem seals (if reqd).
cam cover gaskets from gm, exhaust manifold gasket from gm (later MLS type one though, not earlier composite)
