the bands like
Bay City Rollers
Mud
Slade
Sweet
Wonder what the band members are doing now.
-
Mostly dead.....I hope :)
-
They were all shite,so thankfully long since disbanded. :D
I know that Brian Connolly (lead singer from Sweet) died several years ago. Iirc he became a hopeless alcoholic and his heart gave out in the end.

Wasn't one of the Bay City Rollers done for being a Pedo >:(

Noddy isn't doing bad for himself. :y :y :y

Not sure about that. :-\
Sh1te Factor just encourages the 'I want fame & I want it now' hopefuls, at least the likes of Slade wrote their own stuff. I wouldn't mind Noddy's royalties for Merry Xmas Everybody ..... it's only nearly 40 years old now! There won't be anyone from Sh1te Factor still performing or even known in 40yrs time. :y :y

A few more to add to your list:
Gary Kiddy Fiddler Glitter
Duran Duran
Adam Ant
Dollar
But there was also Blondy, Suzi Quattro and Pans People :y :y :y which I'm sure a certain DD might also remember.
Personally, I always like Slade and their music has stood the test of time.

One of Pans People died a few days ago. :(

But when we were young they were great, and Slade still lives on............... :y :y :y

only good thing I can say about Slade is that they were better than all the other shite from the glitter era,but still shite. But if we all liked the same things.... ;)

Suzi q still performs :y

Alvin Stardust took the role of the Childcatcher in Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang the Palladium in 2005. He has also been in Godspell, David Copperfield (the musical) & played Billy Butlin in the Butlin Story
-
Taken before his time Marc Bolan == T Rex songs still live on. :y :y

Just been haveing a nosey round the net
Dire Straights
In 1995 Mark Knopfler wound the group down and started out on a solo career. The original gang have reformed only one since, for bass guitarist John Illsley's wedding. Knopfler has continually stressed he is not interested in a reunion although he does work regularly with the other members of the band on his solo music.
