Title: EML Light After Cats And Sensors Replaced
Post by: Stokey on 29 August 2012, 17:56:19
Hi  Has anybody any ideas I have replaced the Cats and all four sensors on my 01 Plate 2.6 DBW engine the light was out for about 100 miles but is now back on. Could it be the NGK Lambda sensors fitted or could it be the ECU/MAF now requiring attention.

If you replaced both cats are you 100%  certain that you didn't cross over the Lambda sensor connects between cats.

Tigers Gonads had a similar problem ISTR and solved it swapping the Lambda connections over.

I think he was able to reset the problem by disconnecting the battery - which causes the ECU to re-learn from scratch, but over a period of time it went adrift ............

Let us know how you get on.

Good luck .....

Did you use new cats or second hand replacements?

Both Cats Replaced With New Units as the originals were rotten through the outer shields and Cat housing. I have just spoken to one of the guys at the garage close to and he has offered a Tech 2 plug in this next week as my own code reader LED has given up.
Thanks For Your Help.
