I sympathize with you matey.

I have my share of headaches etc, at the moment I am flat hunting, sorting a new car plus a few other things.  I blink and realise I have only been to bed twice this week.

Medical reasons or by choice?

My own choice, I only started drinking about 5 years ago, I was T Total untill then, I guess seeing what beer does to peole day in day and in your face, plus been on 24 hour call most of time kinda put me off, I got with a girl who was kinda a heavy drinker and changed my job to a more normal one and just found it a way to relax, I now look back at how much cash Ive spent in the last 5 years and how much my health has gone to pot, I didnt take much convicing it was time to quit, I didnt need it before and I sure as dont need it know :)

Nothing wrong with that John. A few of us on here do enjoy a drink but I think most of us are pretty responsible. :y

You're not alone Jon.
Up until late 2000, I was much like anyone else. A bottle of wine here,
4 pints down the pub there etc.. Then I was put on this very strong
medication for 4 years. You couldn't drink with this medication.
Apparently it would emulsify the fats in your blood, block your ticker,
and you would end up floating off to have an interview with St Peter.  :o

After the 4 years was up I tried to have a few drinks again.
Eeyuck! It tasted 'orrible, and I felt totally cr@p for days.
So I thought why bother getting used to something again, just
so I could feel ill and fill Gordon Brown's coffers with taxes for
which is nothing more than a legalised drug?

Same as you. I've never felt better and have money to burn.

Not knocking anyone who does like a drink, here. I believe in
personal choice and freedom.
In fact I think you all should drink and smoke more. The more
tax you pay.......the less tax Gordon has to find from me.   :) :)

Yeah I've some amazing nights drunk... though some of the swamp donkeys I've  woke up next to tells me beer goggles are no myth :)

I just don't see the need or feel the love for a beer any more. should prove fun when we got to chester with work next month as I am the office beer monster :) should raise a few eye brows

I'm with you on the migraine. They've got better as i've got older, suffered badly in my 20's. Last few years only seem to get attacks @ night, wake up, pain makes you throw up then you can sleep again, but you lose an hour or 2's sleep each night. Dr. diagnosed mine as "cluster" migraines ie little & often but very intense.
Migraine must be one of the few ailments that ease with age, sympathies with other sufferers. :(
