Title: Coldest, wettest for 100 years
Post by: Rods2 on 31 August 2012, 18:39:07
No, I'm not talking about the beer at Newent.  ::) ::) ::)

It has been the coldest summer for over 100 years and the wettest since 1912, until next year anyway.  ::) ::) ::)

Last night they recorded -2.4degC in Scotland and 2.1degC at RAF Benson, the coldest August night on record.  :D :D :D

Thank the lord we left the UK and its tough endless weather sweeping one after the other off the Atlantic.

This year we in Spain have had the driest winter (and thus summer as it never rains in summer apart from a thunderstorm- haven't even had one of them this year) for 70 years.

No end of wildfires as the ground is tinder dry. There is a bad one raging at the moment inland from marbella. One person dead so far.
In Spanish but video http://www.diariosur.es/20120831/local/malaga/incendio-costa-calcina-hectareas-201208310950.html

17 planes and helicopters bombing with water. One dead (Briton apparently) Very frightening for anyone nearby.

Mrs V (not noted for her easy going nature ;D ;D) says at least you aren't all whinging about hose pipe bans or air con not working.

* Views not shared by myself of course but I felt obliged to share her thoughts with you.
