Title: Headlight washers problem
Post by: Jospa on 02 September 2012, 18:56:54
Hey everybody.

I got problem with headlight washers. The all fuses are okey, even the headlight washers pump is okey. I tested the pump and it was working , but if i put it back and connect it , it didnt work. Maybe the relay is broken - dont know , beacause i dont know where is this relay.
The car is 96 y. MV6.
Today i took front bumper off and was looking a broken wires , nothing - everything was okey.
So maybe someone can tell me where the right reley is and wich one is the right fuse.

Front end of relay box by battery, black relay with the green 30A fuse adjacent to it. I assume you`ve tried the washers with the headlights on :-\

Is it that the pump isn't running, or that no water comes from jets? Can you hear the pump?

I tried with headlights on, but the pump isnt working ( no nois ), the green fuse is okei.
Next to the headlight washer pump is a windscreen pump. i changed the wires and tested , then te headlight pump was working. the pipes are okey and pistons ( or those things ) are working... conclusion - there is no power in the headlight washer pump wires. i think the relay is broken
but hey - thank you guys! estonian omegaclub forum didn know nothing ... :D

This is more of a question to aid the solution.. do the headlight washers operate at every operation of the screen wash or does it cycle??
