Hello fellow omega colleagues, whilst on our holiday of a lifetime in New York, i came across this wonderful machine on Broadway. First thoughts were it was a straight forward omega, on closer inspection it turned out to be a Cadillac Catera. I just thought you would all be interested... has anyone seen one or know anything about them? Here are some pictures: (yes i did take my OOF t-shirt abroad - saddo)

The grille really is ' American'
-
Seen a few in my time in the USA, compared to other cars there, the Omega is tiny!

Pretty much the same, but the radio area is completely different & the US has a couple of clocks where our MID/TID/etc is :y

Model Year 2000, 68,000 miles. The NYC car is older, maybe a 1998? Mine (to my knowledge) has never seen snow, as the original owner purchased it in Florida and it was there until I bought it in 2010. It'll be put up soon, as summer is drawing to a close.
For winter? This:

Slight bodywork changes make that look very nice :y
-
Nice pics Marvin - looks slicker than the one i saw in NYC thanks for posting didn't know they existed so close to the Omega
-
I do like the brake light in the boot.
-
I've wondered about installing Catera fog/cornering lights and those fancy looking side markers on side of the bumpers... But so far the cost has been too high, I remember seeing one foglight being some 150 USD...

What do the plus two clocks show anyway? I couldn't maximalize the picks.

Oil pressure & voltmeter

James Waddington did a small bit on these a few years back in ABS,s SSN mag. The boot lid definatly needs our style spoiler on it!!

Nope. Engine from Great Britain, transmission (AUTOMATIC ONLY) from France, and built in Germany. Here's a shot of my baby from a few winters ago.
