As your profile says "CD" assume leccy rears. Doorcard off, unplug motor, drill rivets out, fit replacement

i know the gist of doing it, but would rather have someone with me incase i run into problems.

Yes leccy rears

also, the cable has snapped, so whats holding the blooming window up?? :o (as ive just noticed, the window seems to be slipping down mm by mm as there is a small gap at the top and letting water in through the seal when i wash her)

also, dont have a riviter nor know how to use one  ;D

Yep, over time it`ll drop fully

it was fully closed when i bought her nearly a year ago, the gap is about 3mm.

So, what exactly holds the window on the mechanism? is it that rectangular white plastic block at the top? and does it just slot on or screw in?

im not worried about when it rains, its only when ive got lots of water on it, i.e hosepipe when im washing her, otherwise it doesnt leak.

Once the rivets are drilled out the arm will just slide out of the metal bit at the bottom of the window, drill the rivets out and it will be pretty obvious.
