Title: 2003 DTi Saloon
Post by: Sam Burton on 05 September 2012, 22:06:28
Right guys and girls,

I'm considering getting rid of my beloved Omega and replacing with something newer
For those who don't my progress with the car here is the link

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=103483.0

It is a 2003 on an 03' underneath its a GLS but on the surface it's an Elite
It is a 2.2 DTi and i must say for the size of the car the fuel economy is excellent well over 40 on a motorway

It has 187000 on the clock but had a lot of engine work done at 130k including fuel pump ECU so this car will run for ever now

Recent full service, New battery, Glow Plugs and Front pads.

I really would want this to stay within OOF but if no one is interested it's going to be part ex'd
I've been offered part ex of £1175 if any one can match or beat I'll be happy to wave it good bye
Also included MV6 Front Bumper, loads of assorted Bits and a OOF Large TShirt

Had a response from the garage and if no one shows any interest it will be gone by Saturday possibly depending on deal

I'm sure its a nice car mate, but with the mileage it has, folk won't want to part with that kind of cash, not when there's so many on the market with half that mileage.
I got my 02 plate MV6 with 71k , fsh, mint condition, for less than your asking. Just saying. Good luck with the sale.  :y :y :y

Usual rules on mileage dont apply as rigidly to Dti imo. ;)

And a dti will be worth quite a bit more than similar spec/age/mileage V6 version.  :y

Amate had one of those. A turbo convertible,I was completely unimpressed with it tbh. Imo an Omega is a much better car.
Each to their own though Sam. :y

Sam  seems a shame to get rid of your omega after all the time and effort that you have put into it to make it the loverly example that it is....wish you all the best with your new purchase  :y

plenty of sump of days for you then cleaning out the oil strainer before it blocks up, if it got the b205 engine id steer very well clear of the saab, crap engine the b204 in previous models was lot better
