New HBPV after it leaked, ok thats acceptable. new radiator hose...ok same, bottom pan leak in the transmission, scuttle blocked, (filled up the passenger foot well) rocker covers leaked, stuffed everything that leaks smoke.
2 weeks ago water pump let go, no warning no nothing just shat itself. replaced.
NOW! for the last week all of a sudden lost 3 ltrs of coolent once overnight. Since water pump change ive been checking levels daily as the "Low coolent level" warning is on constantly (since the pump change) No sign of a leak, main suspect being o-ring leak on the water pump but dry, hp and everything else dry..until tonight.
I was parked on a open dusty section and there was a small damp patch beside the front left headlight about radiator levelim guessing.. isthis where the drain tap is or is my radiator shagged, please tell me its an easy fix!

Yes the drain tap is there , also a few connections above on the rad same side that could just need nipping up tight but access awkward ..removal of rad is best to check all connections are tight :) 3 ltrs of coolant loss overnight seems a lot though :-\

Problem is with coolants is they will find the smallest place to leak from, and usually the hardest to get to. Only thing to do is to go through the whole lot and check all connections, plugs/taps, O rings and banjo unions.
Whatever you do DO NOT use any type of quick fix remedy you add to the system to stop leaks such as Radweld or Barrs leaks! They are fatal to a mig.
Also whatever part has been changed all other parts related to the area have also done just as much work over the life of the car and are probably weakened anyway, plus some aftermarket parts are not as reliable as the OEM ones which is why they tend to be a lot cheaper.
I only use OEM for my own peace of mind......

Could well be the radiator tap. The O rings inside often perish when they haven't been touched for a while, and start leaking after a coolant change.
If it's not that, the radiator side tanks often crack around the top hose connection on that side of the radiator.

Water pump MUST be a VX/GM only.
I've had 2 aftermarket pumps fail within a few weeks. Didn't know to look at them, water was coming out under pressure while driving. That said, perhaps bright coloured coolant all over the front of the engine SHOULD have put me on to it at some point.

Maybe its time to check the coolant bridge connections as they can weap , pressure test the coolant system first though as it will give you and idea where the leak is coming from ;)
