Shocking that they even mention Kia and Omega are alike.

The comments on that page make interesting reading. Especially about brand loyalty, allthough I suspect we are not as loyal to brands as some people make out.
I mean look at skoda, 10 years ago we where making huge jokes about them and now they are sought after, bmw used to make terrible 3 wheelers and where terribly rusty, now look at how some people fawn over them. Ford used to be the most popular car by a long way, I know the fiesta still tops the charts but by and large Ford have suffered terribly n the UK.
So who knows, in 10 years time Kia could be the new skoda or bmw

Korea is a real industrial power house. Their economy is still growing rapidly and they will probably overtake the UK in terms of PPP (2011 UK 8th $2,260,803m, $36,600 per person, Korea 12th $1,554,149m, $32,100 per person) in the next 10 years and GDP in the next 20.
Population wise they are 49m to our 62m. But while we are being buried under a deluge of cost raising EUSSR anti-business diktats, with a anti-business business secretary, openly discussing with Labour (Ed I-Ballsed-the-economy-up) how they can eliminate the wealthy class through penal taxation, South Koreans, will be continuing to building wealth to the benefit to all in their society and lifestyle over the next 20 years that that 3rd world UK and most of western Europe will only be able to dream about.
They have made the difficult industrial transition from $5,000-10,000 PPP where China is at right now to first world figures.
They are 8th in the world education index (UK 31st), so don't make the mistake that is is due to low cost mass production as they have an excellent engineering infrastructure and talented engineers and scientists.
Top companies include: Samsung $174bn turnover, Hyundai Group $110bn, LG $104bn, SK Group $80bn. Kia in comparison is a minnow with a turnover of a mere $16bn

In all fairness to them, Kia are gaining a good reputation.
