Hi all,
On my way today to Brackley and wash warning light came on with check light. Filled up on getting here, but am still getting the warning. I disconnected the switch on the front of the resovoir, but still the message is there. Connected up again but still have the message. Is there another tank or sensor that needs filling, for the back screen wash. Is there anything else to do to get rid of the warning.
Going on holiday tomorrow from here, I know its not a big thing just don't like check warnings :(

There's a float in the tank for the low level, it's either stuck down. or it's goosed. ::) ::) Same tank (and pump) for both front & rear screens. :y

Pull the level float sensor out from the side of the tank and give it a good clean.Possibly gunged up with old screen wash residue.
If no better they are cheap to replace :y 90346055

Pulled out the float from the front....nice and clean and moving freely.
Looking at the car from the front, the float is on the right...to the left of it is a round thing with a connector, and to the left of that is another connector.....are these anything to do with it.
Warning light is still on with the check light.
I am assuming by your posts, that the float is responsible for the warnings :y

To prove the wiring OK, short out the wiring with a paperclip, the warning should go. That proves its the sensor. I might even have a sensor here (dunno), but out tonight.

Thanks for the offer TB.....hopefully following previous posts I have sorted it. Took it out..waggled it stupid, put it under the tap at high pressure, waggled it some more, replaced and the light has gone out. I am hoping it was a small piece of something sticking. If I get problems whilst away, I'll see if I can get one somewhere or see you when I get back :y

Old screen wash tends to gunge them up so worth while taking it out every 6 months or so and giving it a good wash in clean water.
Fingers crossed you have sorted it :y..nothing worse than driving with a check light on dash. >:(especially when you know waht is the cause ;D
