ive got a faint knocking from the front of the mv6 and thinking its the drop links, but what would be the signs of the wishbones being past it?

Only way to be certain is to get under and have a look/lever :y

But... Strange handling, pulling under braking (and acceleration if really bad), knocking are all possibles ;)

Front bushes, check with a lever, rears, wandering, esp noticible on the brakes.

Also, easy check, foot on the wheel in the wheel arch just below 12 o'clock and push the wheel for and aft with your body weight. If you see play approaching an inch back and forth, examine further with a view to replace.

Handling can be heavily affected by tyre wear when driving so a physical examination is best. Especially for those less familiar with the handling traits of failed bushes.

Some owners drive quite happily through the most buggerd bushes you'll ever see and not bat an eye lid.

There's some pics in the handling guide iirc... Or is it the wishbone guide..? :-\
