Title: Heater bypass valve
Post by: rinkleyrob on 10 September 2012, 18:49:44
Hi, I am trying to put a new heater bypass valve on my 2.2 2001 petrol  auto.I just can't get to the spring clips as the 2 pipes that go into the bulkhead are in the way they seem to be pushfit but I can't get them to move, any ideas please.

Shouldn`t need releasing ??? Have you removed the scuttle for better access

Can you pop the hbv from it's mount to aid removal? Waterpump pliers are useful to undo the clips...

I use a small pair of molegrips - ideal for dealing with Vx hose clips :y
